New Years Chic

Holy Moly, this year is just flying right on by! It has been a wild ride and I am very much looking forward to seeing what 2019 has in store for me! And from the sounds of it, everyone is pretty much feeling the exact same way... But can you believe New Years is just NEXT WEEK! Say what?? I wasn't ready! Haha, I'm still trying to catch up on Christmas and get that all situated, I completely forgot to think about New Years! Have you started thinking about your New Years plans?

Every year I like to come up with some excuse to get all dolled up for the exciting holiday. And going back to last new years; we did a party at our home with good friends, good food and all gathered around at midnight to watch the NYC time-square ball drop. Everyone who came last year said they had so much fun, they wanted us to host it again this year! So that is exactly what we are planning to do. *Stay tuned - I will be sharing with you the yummy treats and simple decoration ideas I have for the party.

Okay, onto the real important stuff now; the Dress! Everyone knows New Years is a super exciting holiday to celebrate, but its also the best excuse to get all dressed up, no matter what you are doing! For me, since i was a kid, I thought it was a rule to wear glitter and shades of gold on New Years, so why stop it now? Haha. Because we are doing a low-key party at the house, I didn't think it would be appropriate to wear something over-the-top, so when I found this adorable jumpsuit, I knew this would be the piece for the holiday!

I love how easy going this look is; elegant with a touch of sparkle. The v-neck is super flattering and makes the look a little more upscale. The back has a slit going from the top all the way down to the hips which adds sexiness to the look. And the flare culottes pulls the ensemble together giving the perfect amount of flare. The black keeps the look subtle while the gold makes it glitzy, the splendid piece for New Years!

You can take this easy-going jumpsuit to the next level by adding a moto jacket and combat boots to give it more edge. Or add a black blazer and gold pumps to make it very glam! Either way you style this amazing piece, you will be the most comfortable person at the party! Its so easy to wear and I just love how comfy it is! It fits true to size so order the size you typically wear in pants! The waist is elastic, thats why I added the belt, to hide the elastic but the way the top drapes over the center, you don't necessarily need a belt. Hope this helps you find pieces for the upcoming holiday!

I'll be sharing some more ideas in the coming days so stay tuned for more inspiration! And have a very Merry Christmas!
