Mini Eggnog Tart's
Okay, okay, is it too early to be drinkning eggnog or do you think of eggnog as a festive holiday drink for both Thanksgiving and Christmas? To me, as soon as I see it on the shelves in the grocery store, I am all about it! I love eggnog, but because it is such a heavy, thick drink I can only take so much of it, as I am sure many of you think the same. I always get super excited to have my first glass of Eggnog and by the time I've finished the glass, I'm pretty much over it. However, I did find a new trick last Christmas that I'm in love with...putting Eggnog in your coffee in lieu of creamer! (I'm more of a dark, black cup of coffee kind of gal, but during the holiday's I love me some festive flavors in my coffee!)
Enough about coffee, this is not what this post is about...however what I am about to share with you, would pair nicely with coffee. Haha can you tell I haven't had enough coffee yet today?
Anyways, as the holiday's are rapidly passing by us, I have been busy whipping up new ideas to bring with me or share around my table that will be crowd pleasers. And this recipe is a bit more special than any that came before...
This recipe was inspired from a holiday party I attended 6 years ago! Yes, you read that right. 6 years ago, Chris was working for a Honda dealership up in Boston, and for their holiday party, they hosted a gathering in their show room with catered food and desserts. While I was attending the soirée, I tried the most scrumptious dessert I had ever tasted! I probably ate about 9 or 10 of them, they were so good! I looked and looked every year since for this little dessert that made such an impact on me and never found it again. So, instead of dreaming of this cute, delicious dessert, that I want oh so badly, I thought I would try to recreate it. So here you go! After 6 long Christmas's later, I finally recreated what I've been dreaming of; Mini Eggnog Tart's! This recipe truly is so easy to make and packed full of flavor! I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as I did!
