NYFW F/W 2018 Round Up

With the conclusion of NY fashion week, what a better way to reminisce than to share with you a few of my personal favorites. Fashion week is always the most exciting week(s) of the year. All the new designers hitting the stage for the first time, existing designers sharing their newest inspirations, street style emerging from all over. It literally is the most inspiring week for all of us fashion-guru's, wouldn't you say?

Though I haven't been to NYFW, I can tell you from working BFW; it is super stressful. From making sure all the models are in uniform with hair and make up, volunteers ready for action, choreography being perfectly on key, and so much more. I loved the excitement of 16+ hour days, rushing from store to store, styling outfits, choosing a soundtrack that matched the theme and so much more. Don't get me wrong, on the last day I probably wasn't the most fun to be around from being so tired, but looking back on those memories, I wouldn't change it for the world.

Enough about me, lets talk fashion! Some of the trends that really stood out to me were Embellishments from head-to-toe, Rainbow, Business Chic and Evening Sweaters. I am not saying that I personally would strut all of these myself, however I can totally picture some of these styles appearing in my closet this coming fall.

1. Embellishments from head-to-toe - well, I just have to admit, I love this! I think it is so fun to have something you wouldn't normally expect to appear on your clothing. These designers really take the cake for embellishing in a cute, unique way without seeming too childish. The jacket with all the watches is super rare, which I am loving! And if you know me well, then you know I am crazy about fringe so; would I see myself wearing those black boots by YSL, absolutely!!

2. Evening Sweaters - I thought this was a super exciting trend from F/W 2018! I love sweaters so much and seeing how these designers dressed up the baggy sweater to make it more elegant is so appealing! Who wouldn't want to wear an oversized sweater to dinner at a fancy restaurant? We are already kind of seeing this trend right now with the in between Winter and Spring, but I am really looking forward to seeing how the street stylers will do in the fall with this trend.

3. Rainbow - I am a little on the skeptical side for this trend, but at the same time, I think to myself, how fun will it be to see a bunch of color in fall? Fall always has the same classic colors, burgundy, mustard, olive green, you get the picture. To see the rainbow trend appear is really invigorating! It'll be a brighter fall, that's for sure!

4. Business Chic - the most intriguing trend, in my opinion! I am a true sucker for a good blazer made sexy or a sleek pant suit that surprises people. I fell in love with every piece below! This will be the most fun trend to watch, simply because the trends lately have been more on the casual side so i'll be curious to see what happens with all the business attire appearing all around us.

I hope you all are having a lovely Tuesday!

Xo,

Sarah
